YouTube monetization refers to all the mechanisms allowing a creator to earn money on the platform: AdSense ads, channel memberships, Super Chat/Super Thanks, merchandise shelf, and YouTube Partner Program (YPP) revenues. To access the YPP, a channel must reach 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months.
